Bill Lang, Jr.

President

Following his father’s footsteps, Bill Lang, Jr. has been part of the Certified family for over 30 years. As president and CEO of the company, he has built upon the foundation left by Bill Lang Sr. to take the company to new heights. Regardless of how big Certified becomes, Bill wishes to maintain the same family-like dynamic that has led the company to prosper since its early beginnings.

Sam Lang

Vice President

Sam marks the third generation Lang to take over the family business and the fourth generation to work in the fastener industry. Sam graduated from Loyola University Chicago in 2018 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and operations management. He has been working for the company since high school and is using what he learned at Loyola to help Certified grow and improve. Like his grandfather, Sam is also involved with the Midwest Fastener Association (MWFA) and is a member of the board of directors.

Lonnie Barna

Sales Engineer

Lonnie has been in the fastener industry since the invention of the wheel, first as an expeditor and then a buyer. He then went on to sales and sales management. Having a great interest in the products propelled him into problem solving and application engineering, which he then applied to Certified and has been an invaluable member ever since.

Bob O’Brien

Sales Executive

As one of our leading fastener experts, Bob has been with Certified for over 20 years and in the fastener industry for over 40 years. In the past, Bob worked as a certified internal ISO auditor, which provided the skills he uses every day to improve our processes. In 2023, Bob was inducted into the Midwest Fastener Association hall of fame for his contributions while serving as treasurer and president on the board of directors.

Patricia Johnson

AP/AR Manager

Patricia has been with Certified for over 30 years and has played a fundamental role in Certified’s success. Patricia handles many of the office responsibilities – such as our accounting and finances – that keep Certified running. She also helps the sales and purchasing teams to ensure accuracy and customer satisfaction.

Monica Wiatr

Purchasing Agent

Having worked in many different administrative positions over the years, Monica brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her latest role as purchasing agent for CFIS. Monica has always been a smart shopper in her personal life, and she now uses those skills to hunt for great deals at work, too, so that she can pass savings down to our customers.
